Kerak-ban maradó testvéreink számára

Bevezetés: Olyan bibliai igeszakaszokat jelöltünk ki a közös imaórák kezdéséül, amelyek arról szólnak, Isten népe szorongatott helyzetében egy hívő vezető, avagy az egész nép egy akarattal folyamodott Isten kegyelmes segítségéért. Alázattal, bűnbánattal, de egyben hittel tették ezt. A körülmények nem azonosak, de az a törvényszerűség mindenkor érvényes, hogy „imádságra megtörténnek dolgok, amelyek imádság nélkül nem történnének.” (E. G. White)

1. Október 12. hétfő

„Eljött pedig Amálek és hadakozott Izráel ellen... 

Monda Mózes Józsuénak: Válassz nekünk férfiakat és menj el, ütközzél meg Amálekkel. 

Holnap én a halom tetejére állok, és az Isten pálcája kezemben lesz. 

Úgy cselekedett Józsué, amint mondta néki Mózes, megütközött Amálekkel. 

Mózes, Áron és Húr pedig felmentek a halom tetejére.

És történt, mikor Mózes felemelte kezét, Izráel győzött, 

mikor pedig leeresztette kezét, Amálek győzött.” (2Móz 17,8-11)

„Mózes cselekedete jelentőségteljes volt... Megmutatta a népnek, hogy Isten tartja kezében sorsukat, és amíg Ő a bizodalmuk, küzdeni fog értük... Ahogyan a héberek győztek, mikor Mózes kezeit az ég felé emelte és közbenjárt értük, úgy arat diadalt Isten Izráel, amikor hitben hatalmas Segítőjének erejére támaszkodik.” (Pátriárkák és Próféták 299. o.)

"Mózes cselekedete jelentőségteljes, mert világossá tette népe előtt, hogy sorsukat Isten tartotta kezében. Amíg a nép Istenbe veti bizalmát, addig Isten is harcol érettük és legyőzi ellenségeiket. Amikor azonban elfordulnak Istentől és nem ragaszkodnak hozzá, hanem csak saját erejükben bíznak, akkor még az Istent nem ismerőknél is gyengébbek lesznek és ilyenkor ellenségeik győzedelmeskednek felettük.
A héberek akkor diadalmaskodtak, amikor Mózes a kezeit az ég felé tárta és érettük imádkozott. Isten Izraele is akkor győzedelmeskedik, amikor hittel megragadja hatalmas segítője erejét."

„Kérdeztem az angyalt, miért nincs több hit és erő Izraelben? Így felelt: »Ti nagyon hamar elengeditek a Mindenható karját. Szálljon fel fohászotok Isten királyiszékéhez és tartsatok ki erős hitben. For the brothers and sisters in Kerak

Introduction: We chose Bible passes for our prayer meetings that tell us examples when a faithful leader or all of God's people turned to God for his graceful hope. They did this humbly, with remorse but also with faith. The circumstances were not the same but it's always true that „There are things that happen as an answer to our prayers, that otherwise wouldn't happen” (Ellen Gould White)

1. October 12. Monday

"Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: 

to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: 

and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: 

and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed."

"And the act of Moses also was significant, showing that God held their destiny in His hands; while they made Him their trust, He would fight for them and subdue their enemies; but when they should let go their hold upon Him, and trust in their own power, they would be even weaker than those who had not the knowledge of God, and their foes would prevail against them.
As the Hebrews triumphed when Moses was reaching his hands toward heaven and interceding in their behalf, so the Israel of God prevail when they by faith take hold upon the strength of their mighty Helper."
